From Kaiserlautern to Salerno in the name of the Longobards

On 3 May, a visit to the Longobard complex of San Pietro a Corte, in Salerno, gave the start to the collaboration and cultural twinning - in a European context - between the Associazione Longobardia, the Salernitano Archeological Group and the Polytechnic of Kaiserlautern (Land Rhineland-Palatinate), represented by prof. Ulf Schulte-Umberg. A group of students from the Germanic Institute was accompanied in the visit to the prestigious Longobards remains of Salerno by the head of the "Terre dei Principi" macro-area – Longobards of the South, dott. Felice Pastore. It is the first, significant step for further initiatives of cooperation and cultural exchanges.
